Tour Information
Arrival
Please arrive 15 minutes early, late arrivals will be worked back into the schedule and will not go ahead of groups that arrive on time. We want everyone to have a pleasant and fun time
We are not affiliated with the market at Styer orchard. When you arrive please drive down Styer Lane through the gate, to the center of the farm, you will be directed where to drop off students and to the parking area. There are signs directing you down the lane. Click on Directions for printable directions to the farm
Helpful Information
Make sticky labels with the children's names to place on their fruit bags or craft.
Groups will be broken down to smaller groups based on wagon capacity, but will not be placed with any other school group.
Be sure to let parents know that students should dress appropriately for the weather and orchard conditions. Play clothes and durable enclosed shoes are recommended. Parents should send along a light jacket or rain coat as temperature changes, winds and showers can occur at any time.
An apple orchard is a busy place! While your orchard guides have made a commitment to teaching children about the orchard, this is not their primary job. Please be active in the control of your class. To assure your safety and quality of experience, we have planned a route and presentation within our schedule. There may be other schools or classes nearby who are in a different part of the tour and other customers here to pick fruit. Please help your students to experience the beauty of the orchard by having them clean up after their lunch.
Chaperones
Chaperones will receive the same amount of fruit as the children. If they would like extra they may pick it separately after the tour and pay for it at the farm stand.
Cancellations
In case of rain or inclement weather it is your decision to cancel. We have learned that waiting until the morning of your tour is best due to rapidly changing weather . You may call us for current orchard conditions. Please call as soon as possible if you need to cancel. We will do our best to reschedule your tour if possible.
Cost and Payment
Price per person is $ 10.00. Teachers are free. We accept cash , checks with ID. and Master Card , Visa and Debit cards.
Picnic Area
We have a picnic area that your group may use for lunch or a snack at no charge. Reservations are required.
